TV question: Being Human

Read Irresponsibly
Has anyone out in LJ-land watched the series Being Human? It looks pretty interesting, but since I'm not a sit-com person, I want some kind of recommendation. For clarification, I didn't make it through one episode of Friends. The only thing close to a sit-com that I enjoyed was the first season of Third Rock from the Sun.

It's not really a sit-com. It's... I guess sort of Buffy-ish or Doctor Who-ish as far as humor goes. Maybe even a bit drier (than Buffy), being that it's British and all. I gave it a try last summer but eventually got bored after four or five episodes.

Oh, hrm. I don't like British humor much at all, though I don't mind dry too much.

I think I've made it through the first two seasons, missing perhaps ep1 of season 2.

I liked it. Not particularly funny. It is fantasy/scifi. I found it... a slow commentary on what it means to be human, of course about people who don't think they are. Sometimes depressing, sometimes slow, sometimes their accents and slang goes too fast for me. *shrug* Still like it.

For context, I disliked Friends, Seinfeld, and the Simpsons. I am acquiring a taste for Big Bang Theory.

Hrm. That's useful information. I've been told that Big Bang Theory is something that I should try, too.
