We are tidying up some of the piles of books and corralling them back into the bookshelves. In the jockying for space, some books have been given the heave-ho. If anyone is interested in adopting a book or two or three, you have a week to announce your intentions and make it worth my time to get the book(s) to you.
Mostly, we were cleaning out the sci fi/fantasy shelves, but a few random things jumped into the box as well. HB = hardback; QP = big paperback; PB = regular mass-market paperback.

Just to warn you, yelling first will not automatically guarantee that you get the book. First dibs will go to the people with whom I normally trade books, such as my sister and Amazonmink, because I want to stay on their good sides. ::grin::
Also, a disclaimer must be stated here: Some of these books were acquired as "gifts" in the form of "I'm moving! Take this box!" handoffs of a very random variety. As such, please put it out of your mind that I might have ever paid money for a hardback L. Ron Hubbard.

I have such a hard time getting rid of books. I'm impressed with your fortitude.
Plus, I love to watch the movers shudder when they realize the thousands of books they get to pack and load for us. Nothing like having a weight limit that is almost all books and a piano. It should be a terrific move.
And I firmly believe all children should be Bibliophibians! (I wonder if that could be my new political leanings/slogan?)
In that vein, we would love Ender's Game and Speaker for The Dead, as ours went the way of "read so much, they fell apart". I would like the Harry Harrison as well. Don't need the L. Ron Hubbard, we were given a bunch when we lived in LA. And I just never got drunk enough to buy in. *Heck, maybe the ones you are passing forward are our old ones.*
I don't think I have ever read Michael Gear, Kenneth Von Gunden, or David Clement-Davies. But if you think we would like them and no one else calls it, please go ahead and send them on. Everything else, we either own or have read and don't need to own. But thanks so much for the opportunity to rummage through your virtual bookshelves. So much fun.

I could probably get them from you next time you're at Nature's Yarns or we'll just have to have dinner together soon whenever you're available. :)
I was threatening AmazonMink that I was going to bring the box to knitting group and assign book reports...
