Because Internet!

Mythbusters Reality - black
Often, I find that I am complaining about grammar and sentence construction on the Internet. But I find this article, compliments of YouveBeenPixied, to be rather a lot of fun to read. I find the variability of the construction to be a part of its charm, and a nicely rated-G substitution for "fuck" as an example of a nearly-universal construct.

English Has a New Preposition, Because Internet

"But it also conveys a certain universality. When I say, for example, "The talks broke down because politics," I'm not just describing a circumstance. I'm also describing a category. I'm making grand and yet ironized claims, announcing a situation and commenting on that situation at the same time. I'm offering an explanation and rolling my eyes — and I'm able to do it with one little word. Because variety. Because Internet. Because language."

Welcome! I find the evolution of idiom to be fascinating (in small doses).
Credit goes to YouveBeenPixied for posting it on her G+ account first.

Yes! Let's welcome some interesting idiom changes instead of being horrified by them.
