Customer service kudos: Goodly Woods

Many years ago, Achaosofkittens bought me a mug from Goodly Woods at MD Ren Fair. I took it to work, because it reminded me of CK and also because no one would ever be mistaking it for anyone else's mug. While it was at work, the mug got a LOT of use. Years later - this past winter, in fact - it developed a leak down one of the joins.

I contacted the seller, Joseph Victor, through his web page, because the page said that he would attempt repairs. I got back an articulate and friendly note complete with expectations regarding timing and possible pricing. So then I sent the mug out to Joe in New Mexico for a lookover. His response was that it was a warranty issue, and that he would be fixing it and shipping it back at his cost.

I got the mug back yesterday. And it looks new! It's clean, polished, re-sealed, repaired, and did I mention clean? Along with repairing and re-sealing the wood, Joe scrubbed all of the tea stains out. So I got a like-new mug for the cost of one-way shipping.

A+, 5/5 stars, would use again.

Joe Victor stands by his work, and is a pretty good neighbor at MDRF. I have had my earliest mug from him for over 15 years, and I adore getting to go in on the weekends during the run of MDRF and see the new wood he has sent out. He loves what he does, and it shows.
