Garden progress: spring flowers

Summer
The second attempt at potatoes is at least starting successfully. All of the potatoes, including the three that I jammed into the edge of the pea bed, are sprouting. We have *one* pea sprout so far. But really, this post is brought to you by Meadows Farms nursery's columbine and monarda, some very late blooming 15-year-old daffodils and equally old bleeding heart, and some 20-year-old azaleas.

I really like them, too. I like them twice because they are 1) pretty and different and 2) a shade-tolerant flower, and we have a lot of shade.
