Most people who see this page know me. And most people who know me also know that I'm not a kid-focused person. I don't have children and I don't spend a lot of time with them. So it may seem weird to see me as a March of Dimes fundraiser. Yes, it is weird, until you consider two things. First, consider how important it is to all of us that the people who *want* to have children have *healthy* children. And then consider that all of us know someone who has a child, or two, who had trouble entering the world. Or maybe you know someone who spent heartbreaking years trying to have a child.
I love my family, and I'm proud to be a part of the lives of the children in it. And I know I'm incredibly fortunate to be able to do so. My whole family has been blessed with healthy children, and we know we have been lucky that way. If you have a spare dollar or two and are interested, I would appreciate it if you would support my walk with the March of Dimes. Making a secure donation is easy: just click the "sponsor me" button on this page. Thank you for your contribution, and thank you for believing that everyone deserves a healthy start.
And if you don't? I certainly don't think any less of you. We all have our charities and personal causes. I hope that you and yours are getting the support needed to survive and thrive as well.
