morning barn check

The goat babies are all doing well. I picked each boy up and held him and talked to him this morning. I explained that this was normal human behavior, and it was a goat-baby's duty to suffer for his cuteness by being cuddled. Constantine nibbled on my lip and nose in greeting, which was a totally heart-melting moment.

I'm expecting Dahlia to give birth today while I'm at work. She has a huge udder and is waddling a bit. For a short while this morning she was shivering, hollering, and sniffing Anna's babies a lot like she was looking for a baby of hers, then she completely stopped all of that behavior and ate her breakfast like nothing was different. So I left, resigning myself to the fact that I'm going to miss another birthing.

ETA: As of noon, CK reported no new babies. Hrm...

Marco is still sick.
