This evening, I took a new bale of hay up front to the boys before taking hay out back to the girls and their kids. While I was in the back enjoying baby goat time, I heard the usual banging of big goat horns on the hayrick ringing across the front yard. I didn't think much of it; it happens all the time. But, as I normally do on my way back inside, I glanced up at the boys to verify that no one was hurt in the sport. I noticed that they had flipped the hayrick. Now, this is a not-unusual occurrence.
What made it notable this time was that they flipped the hayrick lengthwise so that it was standing on end. Well done, guys.
I put it to rights and piled all of the freshly fluffed hay back into it. I then jammed two of its feet under the fence. Yes, this is a challenge. I can't wait to see what's next.
