Sunny day, chasin' the clouds away...

It's a beautiful day in California today, though a little bit warm. The rainstorms of Thursday are long gone. The neighborhood roses here are just gorgeous. My parents' grapes are in danger of taking over the neighboring plum tree, even though Mom just pruned them back a few weeks ago. There is one tiny squash starting on the plants outside, and Mom and I shared the first two green beans.

I went for a brief walk with my parents this afternoon, and we admired the last of the eucalyptus blooms, the overly-fragrant buckeye (which used to feed giant sloths!), and some blue jays that were trying to get their fledglings to get a move on out of the bushes. I had a nice visit with the Grandparents as well.
