Ever since Sunday's shearing, Sancho is being all studly and macho. He's putting up his full crest all the way from his mohawk to his tail and strutting around as TALL as he can get. This is amusing because 1) he's a wether and 2) his local audience is only Jared and Lerris. Lerris (wether) doesn't care about anything but being left alone to eat, and Jared is still at the rub my nose on everything and everyone stage of interest. Houston is constantly hollering at me and fighting with Scout. Loki is bored and lonely in the dog yard. He would like for Cookie to pick a fence-fight with him, but Cookie isn't quite that recovered. Loki is also getting... pungent... already, even though he doesn't look that bad yet.
I've been contacted twice so far this week by people interested in buying goats. I also have the one pending sale from this summer for Orchid and Trillian. Maybe there's hope after all! Of course, one of the recent inquiries was for Cookie (nfs), but that person is also interested in some does, preferably bred, which I'm happy to facilitate. No one is interested in the baby boys, though. ::sigh:: I may have to wether them and sell them as pets if they don't sell at Rhinebeck as speculation bucklings.
