Goats, gripes, and grasping for greatness
Preparing for Rhinebeck (New York Sheep & Wool)
11th-Oct-2010 09:26 am
Due to this snotty-nose something that is still infecting my barn, I'm not taking any goats up to the show after all. I am not going to try to make friends and influence people by being Typhoid Mary of goats for this year. It seems... rude...

A lack of goats on the trip should significantly lower my stress and confusion levels, as well as increase my flexibility regarding departure time on Sunday. Consider: Prius rather than Dakota-plus-trailer means a much faster and easier drive, and no goats means no requirement to stay until 5 PM on Sunday before springing my babies. I will also be less worried about where I am and what I'm doing during the weekend.

My car won't be completely empty, though. I am planning (hoping) to take some of my fleeces up to the show, for competition and sale. This requires skirting those fleeces a little better than they already have been done. And with what free time? Argh.
