All of the cats will inform me when it is time for food. But Russell has a particularly scolding tone to his cry. His meow is downsloped and truncated, as though he and I both know that I should know better than to be late with the food.
... Of course, now that I think about it, his tone of voice to me is nearly the same as mine to him when I say "RUSS-ell." You know, it's that exasperated tone when he's done something that he should know not to do.
