The wife of a co-worker is a Pampered Chef consultant. Unfortunately for her, the husband is rather an introvert, and doesn't want to play at putting on a party. Because she is quite interested in supporting the March of Dimes effort, I offered to host the party. Friends of mine offered to let me use their house near work, so people don't have to trek to the end of the earth. So I'm trying to throw a Pampered Chef party on April 16th at 2 PM.
Unfortunately, my party-summoning skills seem to be lacking. I'm not getting a lot of traction in the invitations that I've sent out, and not a lot of interest when I talk to people about whether they would like to be invited. (4 out of 38 people have said yes.) Is anyone out there interested? Anyone? While it's not a kid-friendly party, it's also not a clique-specific party. In fact, the best response I've gotten has been from the people with whom I knit at a local yarn store. They are really neat people, and mix well with others. So if you are at all interested in Pampered Chef stuff, I'd love to have you come out and join in the fundraiser.
Please send me an e-mail to reedrover at livejournal.com with your first and last name (and how you know me, if maybe you are an LJ-only person). I'll send you an e-mail invitation with all of the details as to when and where, and also how you can place a website order if you can't make the party in person. Thanks SO MUCH!
