My shearer is headed off to New Zealand for an international shearing competition, so we've moved up my usual shearing window by about two months. Since Goblin, Gimble, and Talla were just sheared, I'm going to skip doing them again and let them be furry monsters until August or I can't stand it anymore, whichever comes first. There will also be de-worming, toe-trimming, and de-lousing for all, even Sancho. Whee!
I've got a vet appointment set up on January 6th for the annual well-goat checkup. He'll give everyone their shots, check out how everyone is doing, sonogram the pregnant ones (yes, I know, this is totally unnecessary - I just want to know how many), and bless the herd for another year of existence here at the farm. Also, this time I'm hoping to finally get the CAE test on Sashimi and Constantine so that they can go off to their new home.
