The alpacas are settling into the routine here, or at least we are getting it down together. They still have a distinct preference for grazing over hay, but are willing to eat hay when they get tired of wet grass. They think that Hercules-llama food is just fine and tasty, and have figured out that I want them to eat *in* the run-in area now. This morning when I went out to feed them, all three of them walked out of the barn together, so I can theorize that they are actually using it to cush down on something dry when the rest of the world is covered in snow. They don't drink a lot of water, but they are drinking it. They like to hold potty parties up-slope from the barn, but will use the secondary pile by the dog-shed in solo-style. And they find the goats vaguely interesting in a "other side of the fence" kind of way.
