Goats, gripes, and grasping for greatness
Loki and Jared have officially retired
28th-Aug-2012 01:10 pm
Justin-goat
I just got home from the vet's office with two very sore and unhappy boys. Loki-goat and Jared-goat have been officially and irrevokably retired from the Angora goat gene pool. My hope is that this expense and pain will keep Loki from any more property destruction and from breaking anyone's leg, and keep Jared from a heart attack when he keeps fighting after he's long past done.

They are far older now, and their horns are much wider, but this is likely how I will remember them for a long time...

Hey, I'll be going to Woodbridge to see my Mom on Thursday. I should be coming through your neck of the woods around 12 - 2 pm, if you'd like me to pick up a mill load of mohair for the new mill in WV.

Thanks for the offer! I would like to send a little bit their way to see how well they do. Would you send me their web site again?

No problem! I'm just sorry its taken so long. Derby's been on hiatus this summer, so I haven't had many opportunities to roll into NoVA.

http://caponbridgefiberworks.com/Home.html I asked, and they do process mohair.

I can't remember if you work from home Thursday or not, but if it would make your life simpler, you can stack the bag(s) outside somewhere obvious. Let me know here, and I'll call when I get off of 66 (I think I've still got your number w/ the directions from last time).

I'm usually home, but I have to go into the office today. So there are two bags on the front porch, each with the appropriate form in them. Thank you very much! Please let me know if you would like your delivery commission paid in roving or yarn. ::grin::
