Clover (aka "Bad Baby"), who I sold as a bottle baby to Peace Hill Farm, won Reserve Champion Doe for the colored classes. What that means is that she placed first in a class of 16 colored baby girl goats (from 7 different farms), then went on to beat all but one of the colored girl goats in every other age group.
Finally.
Sure, I've won first place ribbons before. They were either goats that I purchased, or they were first in a class of only two or three. This time, it was a goat that I created (mommy and daddy were paired by me) in a class of more than six.
The rest is dust on the fairgrounds.
