Goats, gripes, and grasping for greatness
Breeding is over for the year for Cookie, Dahlia, and Anna
27th-Oct-2012 05:30 pm
Cookie is back with the big boys. He had his requisite celebratory head-butting with Sancho, and that was it. Having neutered Loki and Jared a few months ago really changed the attitudes during the remixing, and neither older guy took it up with Cookie at all.

Dahlia and Anna, on the other hand, have head-butted their way through the girls-n-wether herd all afternoon. I think the only goats not participating in the great scramble are Jessie and her kids Zoe and Lerris (if you can still call Lerris a kid). I opened up the entire back pasture for the day, so Hercules is running laps like a happy crazy llama, and Madeline is being as much of a pest as Scout will allow.

Dahlia's breeding date was Sept. 17, and I never caught Anna in the act, so I'm assigning her Sept. 12 just because I was gone from Sept 9-15, and she is already looking rather like a hippo.
