State of the vet report update
9th-Jan-2013 09:54 am
It's interesting how many places are working on updating their records. This is the first time since 2003 that my large animal veterinarian office has sent me my "client profile" for review. And wow, it was wrong. My work number was three office moves ago. The web site for the farm was wrong. And the list of animals was... creative. So I sent them back a note delineating my corrections. Their response was instant and appreciative, at least, so hopefully they actually wanted to know.

4) Patient list definitely requires revision

ALYS - age should be 6 yrs 10 months. Birthdate is 3/31/06 [They had her listed as 0 years old]
"Doe" should be MONA, F, 2006
DOM PERIGNON - given away this year
never owned "Dublin"
never owned "Elmer" in fact, I've never owned a horse!
HERCULES - is a huacaya llama
PATRICK - given away this year
PATTY - given away in 2004, I think
PRINCE ALBERT - given away this year
SUMMER - age should be 10 years. birthday 6/30/03 [They had her listed as 0 years old]

Those are some impressive corrections indeed. I'm guilty of putting in most pets birthdaysas 1/1/year but that's because most of the time the vet doesn't know either. At least our system lets us say it's a critter now.

I think the horse is probably my favorite mistake. I wonder if it is a holdover from the previous owners of the house? I know they had at least one horse.
