I was up and in the barn with them every couple of hours to be sure that they figured out how to nurse and were warm enough. (It was 23 degrees and breezy last night.) Achaosofkittens took the 11 PM shift. We both went out at midnight with the hairdryer, goat-goop (sugar paste), and new hot water bottles. By 1:30 AM, they were dry and both of them had been plugged onto mom at least once. At 3AM, the brick-colored baby was nursing on her own. At 5AM, the blonde one had figured it out, too. So I was able to go to work this morning with a clean conscience.
For the record: Spook Rock Farm "Alys" by Kid Hollow Farm "O.R."
