Goats, gripes, and grasping for greatness
Back from Galapagos - photo preview edition
11th-Nov-2013 09:32 pm
We are back from 2 weeks touring the Galapagos Islands. It was an amazing trip.

Here is a link to a *small* set (36 photos) of raw, straight-from-my-camera photos that pretty much tell you how it went down...

I wanna see!

Link should be public. Let me know if it's not.

You're welcome. Hopefully someday I'll have the time to post all the photos, clean up the daily dumps, and make them all a coherent story.

Bean and I had a blast looking through the pictures you posted. Can't wait to hear the stories behind the photos. :-)

There aren't that many amazing stories. We walked up, took photos, listened to our guide talk about the animal(s) in front of us, and walked on. Instead of sneaking around to stalk the wild albatross in the brush, we were watching our footing to keep from stepping on the wild albatross that was lounging on the hiking trail.

That's some serious wildlife! Neat!

Yes! The diversity was quite astounding.

The animals almost all don't care that humans are standing right there, so the photography is definitely highly rewarding for the base amateur, too.
