Remember watching or reading The Hero with a Thousand Faces back in school? Like Firefly before it, Guardians of the Galaxy is an argument for retiring Campbell to the reference shelf.

I liked the discussion in the comments of that first article better than the article itself. Guardians of the Galaxy I found utterly mediocre and forgettable, though, and I think the argument that Campbell is obsolete is wrong.
