Goats, gripes, and grasping for greatness
Sunday goat baby day
13th-Apr-2015 10:05 am
It was a lovely day, on Sunday, for goat babies to be out exploring the world. Hercules was supervising all the activities.

We have four baby goats still, with two moms to go. Anna has a big black and white girl; Alys has mixed redhead twins; Ginger has a red boy wearing boots. Names so far are Anna's girl Hope, and Ginger's boy Simon. Alys's twins are still nameless.

I thought of you when we came up with Simon for Ginger's boy - it's because he's styling high brown boots with white fringe. I figured it was easier than naming a boy goat "Lola" and then explaining it forever.

I'm glad! I was singing to Simon this morning. "These boots are made for walkin'..." and the cha-cha heels sound bite.

It's funny how Herc is so intense the first day, and then totally ignores them unless they get out of the pasture after that.
