She was warm and dry, but couldn't nurse because Betty's udder was too swollen. So I got to milk nearly a quart out of Betty (two wonton soup containers) and teach the baby to both use a bottle and nurse off of mom. It was wet and stinky, but the baby learned really quickly, so I'm pleased.
I will likely have to go out and milk Betty down a few more times until the baby can nurse with the right long and strong pull and stamina to take care of the problem herself. But I certainly don't have to be concerned about how much milk Betty has to offer.
