Books: Hyperbole and a Half, by Allie Brosh

Hyperbole and a Half: unfortunate situations, flawed coping mechanisms, mayhem, and other things that happened, by Allie Brosh. Autobiography. Paperback, 369 pages. Keeping it for now.

I finally finished it. I didn't expect to have to say that about a paperback. Maybe it was the horrible artwork, maybe it was the mood I was in when I first started it, and maybe it was hitting the section on depression that caused me to put it down. So it languished on my shelf since November of 2013. But now I'm done, and I'm happy that I read it. It was entertaining even when it was not amusing. These were not no shit, there I was kinds of stories, but more I look at things like *headtilt* kinds of stories told over too much sugar too late at night.

I recommend it to people who enjoy short stories of the day-to-day absurdity of living, especially living with dogs.

Of note: I'm actually (nearly done) drinking alcohol right now, so this book may appear funnier than it is.
