Summer
Proving I am continuing the yearling buck streak, Simon took first place in yearling buck. Happy dance here! And Ivan came in fourth. Diego came in first for adult buck... out of a class of one. So that wasn't so amazing. Neither made it higher - the grand champion was the first place buck kid; the reserve champion was the second place buck kid. Congrats to Hill and Dale and Kid Hollow, respectively.

The buck kids were in a class of 18. Padric took 5th, Clancy took 7th, and Reese didn't place in the top nine. The yearling girls were in a big class too, and both did not place. Hope was 8th and Corene was 9th out of 10.

It sounds like the two-for-two swap of goats may be modified to be Clancy and Reese, but should still happen. And the gal coming to purchase a yearling buck will come out tomorrow to make that happen. So I will not come home with more goats than I left. Call it a win.

Also, the weather is absolutely gorgeous. It was 28 degrees when we got up, but the sun was strong and we got up to the 60s in the afternoon. It is a full moon tonight, which rose over wispy clouds. Good night!

Congrats. Your goats are beautiful. I wish I could have helped hold some of them during the show, but my relatives showed up and I had to spend time with them. Bah! I am so impressed that your goats know their names. I am going to start drumming my goats' names into their heads. The 15-year-old is the only one that knows hers. Hope to see you at next year's Fair! Who knows, I might be in the market next year - I forget, do you raise any white?

It was nice to meet you. I have four whites right now, actually. They are all color-factor. If you get into the fair and are interested in carrying other people's yarns, please let me know. I have some fabulous yarn blends and only one outlet for them right now.
