Last night, Achaosofkittens put up a heat lamp for the big girls (and Scout/Pan/Lerris) and figured out how to give the chickens the heated dog water bowl without anyone eating the extension cord. We also moved the chicken coop right against the barn wall so that the chickens could be at least somewhat sheltered from the wind. The boys up front don't have a heat lamp, but I broke two bales of hay open into their shelter for them to nest in and nibble on. And every group has one big heated bucket. The llama is in decent fleece, but he is also happy to stay in the barn and out of the wind today.
ETA: At 4pm, it was 18 degrees and still falling.
