My passport is bored

I was talking to CK about maybe going somewhere interesting (and foreign) this year. Collectively, we are interested in fiber animals and fiber arts (spinning, weaving), blacksmithing, woodworking, old architecture (castles!) and natural history. I am also interested in reasonable accommodations that include clean beds and hot showers. I am not interested in night life, bars, crowds or art museums.

So, given the above, here is a question for all of the LJ-land readers of this blog -

If you had a week to go anywhere, but not a huge pile of money, where would you go? Ireland? Slovenia? Costa Rica? What would you see? Is there a tour group you would recommend?
