Crystal likes the molassas goat gatoraide stuff. Sashimi and Goldie don't have that same interest, and I don't know about Jessie and Summer yet.
Goldie wants to eat just about anything (especially my clothes), but seems most happy with mineral mix, and ... milk. Yes. I squirted some of the Crystal-colostrum into her weaker kid's mouth, and of course it dribbled around the baby's chin. Goldie was licking up that dribble before I could put the kid back down. This is not a surprise generally speaking - some dairy goats are self-milkers if given a chance, and Patty liked her own milk.
Having been home this week for most of the kid arrivals, I've realized that I don't know much about timing after the babies are born. I was really worried about Goldie's little boy not getting up and just lying there panting and shivering... I'm sure the hot water bottles and towel didn't hurt at all, but I don't know that they were particularly necessary. I guess I'll see as things go along if the boy makes it, etc.
