So much for today's plans - Jessie is up to bat for kids

I hadn't planned on being at the house still... but when I went outside with the dogs, I checked on the goats. Jessie was digging a nest and doing yoga poses. So I'll give her an hour...

I'm amused rather than annoyed. Jessie is one of the more inconvenient moms - if it's not a late labor, it's birthing kids in the mud the day the water doesn't work...

Edit: Jessie has a solid black baby on the ground. I don't know if she is going to have a second one in a delayed twinning or if this is it. She was licking the little baby like she had a deadline, and the little baby was already talking and trying to get up.
