Say what you will about VDOT and their road crews, but I have to give Marshall dispatch some credit. It was less than 20 minutes from my call to Fauquier County non-emergency sheriff dispatch until the Marshall VDOT crew showed up to clear the tree off of my road. Unfortunately, they turned around where the pavement ended. I had to stop and remove small trees and big limbs off of the hill five or six times.
The best part was stop-clear-scootch-repeating down my driveway until I got to the parking area and discovered what a nice thing it was that we had NOT carpooled tonight. The spot where my car had been parked was now occupied by a LOG and a big fat branch. Hel-LO Geico!
I brought the dog inside and fed her and the cats. The bed is finished warming, and I'm calmed down enough to go to bed. Night, all! Thanks for the GREAT time tonight!
