Food review: Annie Chun's teriyaki noodle bowl

I'm trying something new in my LJ - reviews of products that I purchase as "convenient lunch" foods. Let me know if you have questions that I should add to my review (as though you were going to use it to make shopping decisions).

What: Annie Chun's Teriyaki FreshPak Noodle Bowl

Purchased from: Trader Joe's

Reason: I wanted to try a non-refrigerated meal that cooks in 1 minute. I usually like teriyaki things. And I'm a big fan of noodle bricks.

Special features?: Vegetarian, including the sauce. Bowl is biodegradable.

Protein = 6g. Sodium = 440mg. Total Fat = 2.5g. (per serving, so double those numbers if you eat the whole bowl)

As advertised?: Yes and no. The contents are as expected from the package labeling, however, it's one of those sneaky packages where the serving size is 1/2 of the container. Argh.

And the verdict?: Not good. The noodles are gummy and the sauce is too sharp.

Did you finish eating it?: No.

Would you buy it again?: No.

Is it good defense against a zombie?: Possibly. The gummyworm noodles might stick its feet to the floor.
