The price of gas and various individual tragedies has just about halved the show attendance. Last year we had a record number of goats and farms attending. This year, the goat headcount is about 2/3rds of last year's count. The positive side is that we have two new farms attending this year.
One big disappointment is the low turnout for Margaret Radcliff's knitting classes. VAGMA worked hard to get a big name for our featured artist, but it doesn't seem to be drawing the crowds. I would love it if I could get a herd of people together for those classes, but at this late a date, I'm not sure anyone would want to drive to WV for - and pay for - a day of knitting classes. ::sigh::
