Brief thaw

It is over 60 degrees outside right now, and the snowmelt is running down the pastures. I am very thankful that achaosofkittens regraded in front of the back barn, and that the front pasture is on a natural slope. It's enough of a mudpit out there that I don't even want to imagine what it would be like if our land were flat.

I can tell we are in the home stretch / last month of gestation. The girls tore through last night's hay as though they hadn't eaten in days. CK told me that he fed them, otherwise I would have thought that he hadn't, because there was nothing left in their hayrick this morning.
