More on Loki's adventure - the vet bill just came in.

I just got the vet bill for August. Loki's little adventure with the "broken leg" (dislocated left toe) is going to cost us $375.90. Yeah, that seems a bit expensive until you consider that there are four x-rays, "surgery" (that included sedation and resetting the joint), and an emergency farm visit bundled into that total. Oh, and we were charged $40 in "miscellaneous services" for the vet transporting my goat back to his office for that x-ray and re-location work.

Consider what the same thing would cost a suburbanite and her domesticated pet (i.e. dog), and you'll see why I'm so calm. All in all, I think we got a pretty good deal on price for the service offered.
