Quote from the weekend

During the work in the storage unit, achaosofkittens and I took a few boxes home. Two of those boxes were as heavy as lead bricks the same size, and were obviously packed/taped/addressed by Dad. CK's comment about the boxes ran something like "You know, at the end of the world there will be Twinkies, cockroaches, and things packed by your dad."

I repeated that quote to Quixotic_Goat, who reminded me that Q_Goat's brother has a moving & storage job waiting for Dad when he retires. Q_Goat's brother was very impressed with the boxes that we built to protect the Cabin doors during cross-country shipping.

Go Dad!

(The boxes were the continuing saga of my inheritance from Dad's mom. They were thirty-something volumes of a leatherbound set of "The Romances of Dumas." Limited edition #117. Publication date 1893.)
